Yes, but the purge of the useless cryptocurrency industry will only be temporary because when the market starts to rise again, there will always be a useless cryptocurrency industry that is born blindly.

So many stock exchange listed company doesn't has proper industry but offering a huge volume. We can't do nothing about it. Only we can avoid those projects or can take bullrun opportunities from those projects. So many scam projects will launch in a couple of months but we should invest in old projects except we are a expert.
