Since your in cryptocurrency world you must expect everything here just like how price goes up and goes down because there is no permanent in this especially coins need to develop and have progress for people to believe in them. Holding also is like your taking risk if you don't know something about it, but as long as you gain knowledge on your mistakes in holding coins, I guess there's no wrong in it. I suggest to hold Ethereum, binance coin and bitcoin since they stay on top and was already proven. Ethereum right now based on my research decreases it's price which is good for buying because it will surely boost it's price after this downfall and surely you'll be happy to the result soon.

Assets going up and down in value has absolutely nothing to do with the cryptocurrency world in specific. That is the case for essentially any asset in this world. The only thing that is different about cryptocurrencies is the speed at which up and down movements take place. Though we have seen crises before where markets crashed at insane speed, like the dotcom bubble for example.
