It will happen but it need one hype news that make people buy it. Maybe 5k sounds too high in this current market condition, it could be there if BTC is going over 50k. But ETH climb to the high slowly but sure, just look at the chart last one week we could see ETH price is slowly going high and there will be one moment the price will jump a bit like 10% in near future

ETH once dropped from $4K to $1,817. After that, Ethereum rose again nicely to $3,265 today, this second. However, if BTC increases again to $50K, it's likely that ETH will also increase assuming I'm $4K to $5K.
