Bitcoin and it's symbols BTC and BTC are not something that can be owned (although CW aka Faketoshi has tried) in that manner. Given that there is already a ton of merchandise such as tee shirts, hats, jackets, drink coasters etc. that are emblazoned with the symbols and/or work 'Bitcoin' that have been sold for many many years there is no way in hell anyone could claim the idea of merchandising is 'theirs'.
