Let’s change that to say 25 merits in 120 days, and I believe the amount of signature spam will drop by at least 30% - 50%.
I could get behind that 100%--but unfortunately I'm not a campaign manager or the owner of one. And as mentioned, the problem is that those slots have to be filled. Even with all the applicants that campaigns and bounties get, a lot of the best posters on the forum are already in campaigns and I'd say
most of the applicants are typical shitposters, so there's not a lot to differentiate between them.
I’m glad someone agrees that we detected the problem, but also that no one wants to solve it - because no one wants to cut the branch they’re sitting on. Low standards for participation in campaigns that are actually directly related to the earnings of those who run campaigns are the biggest problem - but I believe that this can only be changed in such a way that signature/bounty campaigns are completely banned at some point - which is an option that is on the table.
