The formula is simple to understand. But it could be gamed if you hoard lots of sMerit, then you use all of it in a month.
I have noticed for a long time that the more merit you earn per month, the lower you go down in the table. It happened to me that I earned 350-400 merit per month and dropped to 5-6 place in the table.
| User name | Sent merits | Received merits | Generosity |
1) | suchmoon | 1208 (in 296 txns to 289 users) | 134 (in 76 txns from 51 users) | 1141 (max 1141) |
2) | LoyceV | 884 (in 206 txns to 129 users) | 121 (in 72 txns from 50 users) | 823 (max 824) |
3) | DdmrDdmr | 774 (in 690 txns to 358 users) | 128 (in 107 txns from 55 users) | 710 (max 710) |
4) | fillippone | 578 (in 288 txns to 111 users) | 156 (in 121 txns from 47 users) | 500 (max 500) |
5) | Ratimov | 700 (in 534 txns to 154 users) | 437 (in 244 txns from 116 users) | 481 (max 482) |
If I earned little merit, then I immediately became 2 or 3 in the table.
Indeed.
As discussed in the
Russian Board (how and why did I miss this thread?), this formula tends to award he who sends a lot of merits without earning many. So you are right, the more merits you earn the harder you fall toward the lower position.
This is @Coin-1 game, after all!
Maybe you want me to merit you again so you it will be more difficult for you to be #1??
