I would say this is a good sign for a lot of talented young cricketers from SENA countries who are struggling to get into their A team or even in the T20 franchise. They are getting a good opportunity to show their talent and also earn a decent amount of money. Their performance will also encourage a lot of local young talent to become a cricketer.

Including foreign players is good for the foreigners themselves, but from what I have seen it discourages the natives from taking up the sport. I have noticed this from Europe and East Asia. When teams like Germany and France were fielding native players two decades ago, there was a lot of interest from the natives and growing number of children were taking up cricket. Now most of the European countries field teams that are 100% made of Indians and Pakistanis and I no longer hear stories about children playing cricket there.

It is just ridiculous to import foreigners on tourist visa and then ask them to wear jerseys of different nations to whom they have no connection. None of the other sports, apart from cricket permits this.
