i think maybe you have forgotten something like setting a password but it is possible that you forgot or maybe the wallet software has a bug that generates a password protection by itself, but as far as i know it is very difficult get it back if there is no wallet code and you will probably lose your BTC coins forever. Remember where you left your wallet code or write it down somewhere, if you lose it, it's really a pity. You bought it since 2017 and how much is the BTC I'm curious about this Grin
