Well, for such long term investment, yes, you could wait for this and hope the price goes up to the point where you're happy to take your profits.

Or instead add the money into and yield aggregator which gives you a guaranteed 10-20% APY on your investment. Of course, each have their pros and cons but it is up to the person to decide what combination of safety and long-term investment is best suited for them.

In my case, I would probably bet it all on BTC as to me it looks pretty strong at the moment.
