That's right, trading or investing is just a prediction game, there's a risk but you can win if you are well versed and you have enough experience to be a trader. This is a game that when somebody wins, somebody will lose money, it's a battle of traders because of the market volatility, so even if how smart you are, you can never be right all the time, but you can be right most of the time and that will make you profitable.

We do not have to have people losing but eventually people will lose because price goes down not because there needs to be a loser. Trading means that if you buy at 10 dollars, and sell at 15 dollars you made a profit, if the price drops then the buyer lost money but it is not something that is forced, if the price goes from 15 to 20 and he sells there then he made a profit as well, and if that buyer buys at 20 and sells at 25 then he makes a profit as well.

This could go on forever as long as the price doesn't fall, and if you are holding and not selling then you are not going to be making a loss as long as you are not selling any of the thing you bought at under the price you spent. So all in all there is a good chance that you are not going to be making any type of profit if you end up selling, but as long as you hold there is a chance there could be no losers.
