For the same reason Litecoin was created to begin with. You are basically asking why scrypt coins was created beside bitcoin. A fairer distribution.

And by "blockchain voting" we can vote for what algo we want for Bitcoin sCrypt, in a hardfork. Blockchain voting offers great possibilities.

For now, I like the low prices and slowly dump my other alts for more BCTs. I really regret I didn't buy more 10 days ago, at 0.000062 BTC.
