PoW is more favorite than PoS because people look at those PoW projects and think that they have some input resources so coins must have more solid price than PoS coins.
Most of the people (wrongly) think the opposite.
They (wrongly) believe that since a POS cryptocurrency consumes less energy, that's better. Many people are scammed in this way and buy pre-mined shitcoins that are generated from the thin air.
Currently, POW is the best system we have. That's not just because it needs more resources. That's because it provides more decentralization and more security.
I don't know what's the Prood of creation you are talking about. But I know POS can't be a good alternative to POW.
