Many people (wrongly) think the opposite.
They (wrongly) believe that since a POS cryptocurrency consumes less energy, that's better. Many people are scammed in this way and buy pre-mined shitcoins that are generated from the thin air.
Currently, POW is the best system we have. That's not just because it needs more resources. That's because it can provide more decentralization and more security.
I don't know what's the Prood of creation you are talking about. But I know POS can't be a good alternative to POW.
PoS is better somewhat but it is more vulnerable and easier to be compromised by scammers. They create PoS coins from thin air and scam investors.
Do you think CBDCs are better than traditional fiats (paper, polymer), I don't think so. With CBDCs, governments will mint their money from thin air, so they will do it more regularly and arbitrarily.
We then will have neither inflation nor hyper inflation but super hyper inflation. Sad to imagine about it.
