Some may fear that a government-issued cryptocurrency would eventually supplant Bitcoin. This is absurd. It merely substitutes a blockchain for the wire transfer of a fiat currency. It precludes a really free exchange of value between any two random locations on the planet without the intervention of a third party. A government-issued cryptocurrency will inherit all of the fiat currency's flaws. It will squander energy as a result of perpetual inflation and regulation.
What are your thoughts regarding this matter?
No matter who create the cryptocurrency it will stay to be called altcoins. For crypto community, bitcoin itself already to be a core. No matter what coin is, in exchange will be paired into BTC, fiat and will always that. Simple thing to say about it is, no altcoins that can replace bitcoin as long there are no problem with network, and until now the chance is really small.
The fact is that many projects have been created to replace Bitcoin for a long time, but none has succeeded in replacing Bitcoin. Until now Bitcoin
still dominates the market and is still the strongest compared to other coins, if governments want to create their own cryptocurrency, it will not be
able to replace Bitcoin. Like you said however Bitcoin has become the core and it is very difficult to replace Bitcoin. That's why from the first time
Bitcoin entered the market, Bitcoin demand continues to increase and even now Bitcoin is trusted by some institutions for long-term investment.
Although Bitcoin has some drawbacks, but it does not make Bitcoin decline in popularity, in conclusion Bitcoin is too strong to be replaced by any project.
