This is nothing new. This is called the Kimchi premium and has been going on around 2017 or so. And people wanted ways to arb the difference and they ran into issues.

What they found was that it’s very difficult to get money out of the country due to capital controls. And if you are not a citizen or living there it’s even harder to open a bank account and do the transfer.

Hence why there is a large premium.

Ok it means we still don’t have proper channel to work on this methodology. That’s not new, absolutely yes if you know the Indian market. The exchange rate is always on higher side in any Indian exchange as compared to the USA or other markets. Just open binance and WazirX and you will see this difference is always there. I always wanted to do this but soon got to know that you loose some amount in the maker and taker fees. It’s useless.

On top of this the market is crazy volatile so we don’t even need to go that way. Definitely no need to go for premium services as we will end up loosing more than we can earn.
