I don't get why certain people, pay for something that's free while also not doing a little research about the platforms they're planning to get listed on:

This makes me think if coingecko is even verifying the team's authenticity and/or what methods are they using cause it has to be more than running a reverse image search since there are easy workarounds to get off the radar.

Based on the above screenshot, I don't think they're even doing a "simple reverse image search"!
