I guess this is a revolution against USD.
El Salvadorian president, Nayib Bukele is not specific about dollar, he generalized it on fiat, not United States Dollar. This is the tweet from the president:

What has been called by international organizations as “The #Bitcoin Experiment”, is nothing more than the world watching how mass adoption changes a country’s economy.

If it’s for the good, it’s game over for FIAT.

El Salvador is the spark that ignites the real revolution.

The president did not mention anything related to the first line of the OP, I think it is just how news can make it misleading by not convey the actual fact.

Taking the title from the news site I saw online as an example:

El Salvador President says Dollar is dead, Bitcoin is future

Also from the same news site, I quote:

By directing his comments at fiat currency in general, Bukele has raised a question on the future of the existing physical currencies around the world.

The president just tweeted about fiat generally. But it is obvious that the fiat will survive as bitcoin is just an alternative. I think it is only just about awareness and commenting about how bitcoin could help nation's economy, rather than what the tweet actually meant.

Yes I saw the tweet earlier from Bukele. He is right in that Bitcoin is revolutionary but it
was designed as an alternative to a centralised financial system.

Maybe he can see trouble ahead for FIAT because of all the quantitative easing and
the resulting inflation it causes, maybe he expects more and more countries to follow
El Salvador's lead, I dont know, I think he is really too early to be making those links.
