I think the tension is now over after Aubameyang departure to Barcelona, indeed Arsenal still have a chance to reach the Champions League zone, but I don't think it's an easy thing for them because now they have a fairly limited squad, and it's not an easy thing for Arteta to be able to stabilize arsenal game if only relying on the existing squad as it is today, Seeing the condition of arsenal which lost many players in the transfer market and they did not bring in any players this season, I think arsenal will again fail to return to the champions league next season.

Arsenal doesn't have any option for any injured player or any suspended player, thus has a small squad for which could mar their chance for qualifying for top 4, recalled when Xhaka was suspended and Partey non availability due to AFCON, their midfield was not that strong with only Lokonga due to non quality reserve players thus the team struggled.
I believed Arteta is looking ahead to the end of this season before signing new players, however I don't think he knew the task of clinching the UCL spot will be very challenging if that spot is guaranteed quality players will sign for the club.
