More or less yes.
The issue then comes back to how do you prove it.
Would you want to give away a few accounts to trusted people here, along with holding up your ID with you in a photo / live video chat?

This way trusted member 'X' can say you are who you say you are and trusted member 'Y' could do the same.

But, at that point you CAN'T sell anymore of those accounts because if you gave someone a Coinbase account and someone else a Gemini account to prove who you are then you can't sell them again. Because, lets face it, you can only have 1 of those accounts....

If you are planning to burn your identity to the ground and don't care it's not a bad way to make a few bucks on the way out.
Going off the grid, sure who cares anymore. Going to jail for 20 years, don't need your for a while. Just got a divorce and want to make sure your ex gets nothing because your ID has been trashed, well that may work too. Other than that it just looks like a scam.
