Realistically, it doesn't. But it does only because people believe it does. Poeple are still in their old world money mentality and they seem to think that cryptocurrency is connected to that as well. But it really isn't. The value of crypto is still basically commanded by too much FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt). This FUD really spooks people into trading in their crypto to get their crappy fiat back. And they don't understand that its FIAT that is losing value.

People will have to learn, sooner or later.
