I don't have any information about how solid Russian economy is but a handful of silly sanctions isn't going to bankrupt the country! Keep in mind that the record of sanctions is still in Iran's hand with a whopping 2000+ sanctions and the longest duration of 43 years, during which Iran went from a weak underdeveloped war torn country to a developed superpower.

This reminded me of the 10 months and 3 weeks resistance in our Khuzestan province from 6 November 1980 – 27 September 1981 where civilians kept the city from falling. Long story short most of Iranian soil is taken back in only 42 hours after the piece of shit president at the time was impeached, who we later found out had ties with the terrorists.
