Hey guys, could you help me solve a mystery with the block reward?
According to the info:
Block reward? 48 MaxCoin per block, halving every ~12 months
Difficulty? Retargeting using Kimoto Gravity Well algorithm.
Block time? 30 seconds
The thread first used to specifiy 96 maxcoins per block, did you fork it because it halved way quicker than 12months?
If you did not fork it I assume my calculations are incorrect? To get the blocknumber at which the change happened I used:
2 * 60 * 24 * 365.5 = 1052640
(2 blocks per minute, 60 minutes an hour, 24hours a day, 365.5 days a year) that would lead me to believe the block halving wasn't supposed to happen until block number 1,052,640.
Please help me solve it, so I can prevent the overview at
https://cointweak.com/calculator/index/scrypt displaying incorrect information again.

Truth is that some fool idiots start telling devs that if MAX wants survive they need halving imediately block reward.
Unfortunately devs instead of using own mind do this request and forked MAX.From block 140 000 they halving block reward and insteda of saving MAX they doomed it to death.
Because some of fools expecting that when block halves price of MAX will rise. But as we seen on DOGE on first halvening, price not rise but as usual going lower.
Then from very good profitable MAX we now have standar diyng shit as others.
No interest to mine it,no price rise.
