I personally can't judge West Ham as a small team, because West Ham is part of the EPL from season to season and West Ham always competes in the middle of the table. So this defeat I think is natural but it doesn't mean West Ham is a small team and also, even though West Ham is currently out of European competition for next season but West Ham with their performance so far at least West Ham still has a chance to finish at least in 6th position. Indeed, this seems difficult to achieve because the competing teams are Manchester United and Tottenham, both of which even continue to improve to get their best form.
We can't judge West Ham United as small team but in realistic they can't consistent on top performance actually last end primer league games where they have chance for finish on 4th standing position place but at least they can't play with top performance. After defeating by Tottenham Hotspur exactly still have chance for West Ham United as finish on 4th position but several match left have waiting by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. Still have another option for getting champion league spot maybe become the champion on UEFA Europe League where West Ham United success on quarter final right now.
