It works, but you have to select one of your old wallets and enter your password to open it first.
After opening your wallet, you can create a new one and generate a new seed by tapping on the three vertical dots -> wallets -> new.

In older versions it was possible to create a new wallet right after starting the app even if you have existing wallets. But this is no longer possible since version 4.1.0 because of Password unification
