It's a little asinine to understate the significance of the latest ccminer releases MASSIVE hash boost for this coin. Everybody and their brother is buying dozens of 750ti's simply because they are the best cards out there right now (power consumption and price to hash). So when a 750ti goes for 4m/hash to 11/mash... your profit from mining that coin triples in an instant. Obviously people are going to start mining HVC if they weren't, or keep mining and triple their profit if they were. Increase in supply, lack of demand... price speculation. Yada Yada.

750ti's have revolutionized cryptomining and in an instant their HVC hash rate tripled... how would this price drop not be attributed to a specific model of graphics card?

even if everyone was using them all of a sudden, this price drop at the moment is mainly down to bitcoin's price decrease. All other currencies follow suit then because the investors do not want to spend their BTC until the price has recovered.
