But there are also those people in authority that don't want that to happen. Because if they want it so, they'll be the one to initiate it but they don't.

And the same goes with the idea of ignoring businesses that are from there. It's possible that in the other side of the world, there's also this idea that they have in their minds.

We don't know the sentiments of the local Russians towards the businesses that are closing down.
As we can read, they have varied reactions, like the Mcdonald's, some are okay with the shutting down, some don't.
But let us contemplate on the fact that they are also people who want to survive in times of war.
Whatever their government is up to, they can't do much to influence the decision of their President.
But, I believe, a lot of their local businesses are also suffering owed to this war, and so their people.

The statistics (it is difficult to confirm them due to the propaganda and disinformation) show that 80% of Russians support Putin's policy. If, after companies such as McDonalds, Apple, VISA, Mastercard and many others have left Russia, the public does not understand that something is wrong, I am affraid that something bad is happening there. And probably it's not just the government's fault anymore, but maybe the mentality.
