It depends on how long such hype and momentum can be fueled. In the best case, such a thing can last for years. As already written, Doge and Shiba are very good examples. There are also others. In the case of Doge, this trend has been going on for a few years, even though Elon Musk is a strong promoter of it. With Shiba, it has been going on for a little more than a year now and it still works. From the technological side there are hundreds of better projects.
