At the moment it looks like Werder Bremen will defend the second place and will also be promoted directly. Ole Werner have started at matchday 16 and from place 10. At matchday 20, Bremen was already at place 3 and have since fluctuated between place 1 and 3.
It has to be said, however, that Markus Anfang was not sacked, but resigned.

In my opinion, Schalke did play well to win that match but they also missed a lot of chances in that match and made some big and fatal mistakes. Really big mistakes were made by the defense and the goalkeeper gave the opponent a good chance of scoring. Also, Schalke missed some really easy chances to score. otherwise, the score would have been much different.

I think Werder Bremen had a very easy match and everybody did expect them to win because they did play that match against a team at the bottom of the table and it would have been a surprise if they even drew that match.

And yes Markus Anfang did resign, he was not fired.
