I have made it clear that if he does not have enough money then he should refrain from trading and investing. Moreover, it is not possible to get profits from trading or investing just because you have money, because it will be possible only if you are proficient in this subject. I would guess that having a lot of money would help you become a better trader though. How? Well, let's say you are a rich person, and you bought something and it went down, if you are rich then you could buy some more and make profit that way, if you are not rich then you would just focus on getting better buying prices because if you buy and it goes down then you would not have enough money to buy some more. That is the difference, rich people could wait longer as well, even if there is an emergency situation that they need cash for, they will have it and spend that, whereas a poor person doesn't have plenty of investment AND savings to use in an emergency.
More money means you could try and try all over again until you mastered trading. I mean, you will attain the level of a trader that make profits most often than losing profits. Having a large quantity of money also mean that you could enter a big trade and have a big profit, while on the other side, having no money or small amount of money will only put pressure on you, since you can't make a huge mistake because your money is only limited.
