Personally, I would quit gambling if money became an issue to the point that it affects entirely my obligations as a student or as someone who has constant responsibilities.
You are a responsible gambler then, I have seen gambler who never gets enough until there is money in their pocket, there are friends who can give him loans and property he can sell, and compulsive gambler finds it hard to quit if there is still available money around, they will only stop when they exert everything, compulsive gambler can only stop when health is the concern when he is very depressed and cannot think clearly anymore and there's a friend who can help him.
It is really unfortunate that some people get so addicted to gambling that they are willing to lose everything that they have in order to do something that should be just another form of entertainment, however while we know that this is something that happens, at the same time we need to recognize that it is something that is relatively uncommon and that the majority of gamblers are able to stop when they see that their gambling activities are beginning to affect their everyday lives.
