I think that defeat when gambling has become a very natural thing, because anyone must have experienced a very large loss and as much as possible make the incident a very important lesson not to be repeated again, because learning how to gamble can make you find a point where it is possible to make a profit.

Ah if it was that easy as you describe it.It seems that man never learns from history,we said never again after World War II yet we see what Russia is doing and a couple of small wars from other countries doing the same but at a much lower scale than Russia.This means that also to change our behavior,to convince ourselves that it was a bad thing and it will not happen again is extremely difficult,this because the human nature is that as soon as we move past such event,like the big loss we start to feel good once again and when sometime passes we are back at gambling telling ourselves that this time will be different and we keep losing again and again.
