Well, that's some belief of yours towards a profession that I think actually helps and is still helping people around the world today at least. Perhaps not to completely zero in on the addiction but, reduce there addictive nature towards some concerned behaviour of there's to some significant level.

One thing we ought to understand about change is, it is self induced. Of course, someone might have to preach it to you but, if you ain't willing or open to accepting what is preached to you, your likely going to remain the same. It doesn't matter what your being told but going through the process means, you've got to believe in it for a change. Docs don't cure nothing here rather, these rehabilitation instructors or therapist do point you to some possible solutions and should you follow the path willingly, your likely going to get some positive result. Perhaps not totally but, to some extent at least.

So in the end it turns out that the doctors in rehab does not cure (the just lead to a right direction) and the patient cures himself if he really wants to be cure. Docs looks like a spare element in a chain to be cured Cheesy

I have experienced such rehabilitation, so I might be wrong. But I expect this to be like "you go to a doctor, he cures you", not like he is trying to help. Maybe I am more used to an ordinary doctor visits. When I go to a doc with a flu, I get a receipt, buy pills or whatever is written there, take them and get healthy. There was never a situation, when I got pills because they might help and only decrease flu, so I have take them all the time...
