Well, that is also their own rules and policies and so we can't do nothing about it. But if i'll see myself an employer in the future, i won't deal with the personal issues of my employees unless if it will compromise the quality of their jobs that makes them inefficient and irresponsible. Being a gambler is never wrong, but if you use it to take advantage of your employer, then expect that you will never last longer in your job.
For many employees it a cause of concern - particularly those working in the finance department.
I have worked in the department where every peer and the boss would want to know your personal interest. Gambling, drinking and having an affair is something which was not liked by my employer.
Every boss or company must have its own rules, and they will not interfere in the household life of their employees unless the employees tell and ask for solutions. But if an employee is sick, the company will help by providing facilities that employees can use. But if it is a gambling addiction problem, not all companies will be able to accept it. Many companies will fire the employee immediately and not give them a second chance to start over. But indeed, gambling, drinking, and having an affair are things that our companies or employers don't want.
