A few weeks ago I read the news regarding Modric's desire to retire at Madrid. this was before he got a contract extension. even if it's just an extension of one season, it will be good for Modric with a chance to keep giving his best.

Modric is still fit to manage the midfield of real Madrid, his incredible and accurate passes where the assists behind the goals which Vinicius, Rodrygo and Benzema converted to goals. The Croatian still have Pace despite his age and knows how to handle the midfield due to his lengthy experience in football. He is classified as high profile player in real Madrid, so the one year extension will only boost his chances of retireing with more trophies which I'm pretty sure he will still lift trophies next season. He has always given his best and he will continue to give out his best for real Madrid who made him what he is today.
