If we look from risk point of view, then short term is more risky indeed.
It is because the market of cryptocurrency is very volatile and unpredictable.
Just look at the current market, seems like it is in bullish situation but let we see how long the market can stay in bullish condition.

It also still depends on everyone's assessment because I personally do not consider the current market conditions as Bullish because if you look at the highest prices ever achieved by all cryptocurrencies, the current conditions are still very different and not worthy of being called Bullish.
