They did show some really good signs in the last season but in the end, they did not score enough goals. They lost their way through the middle and late part of the season.
St. Pauli had the problem at the beginning of the year that important players were injured. And the substitutes unfortunately did too many mistakes. Then there was the fact that Finn Ole Becker had already said in winter that he would be leaving the club. That did not necessarily contribute to the team spirit.
