St. Pauli had the problem at the beginning of the year that important players were injured. And the substitutes unfortunately did too many mistakes. Then there was the fact that Finn Ole Becker had already said in winter that he would be leaving the club. That did not necessarily contribute to the team spirit.

They obviously had a lot of problems. Otherwise, they could have done better in the last season. Now I would surely like to see a better performance from them but first of all, they will have to fix all the problems that they currently have in the team. They cannot afford to have these kinds of problems if they want to get promoted the next season. And looking at things the promotion is surely not going to be easy. They will have good competition.

They will need to start the season well and I believe they have a good coach who will be able to bring consistent results this season. Hopefully, none of the problems like the last season are going to happen.
