Taking someone to court is never desired. However, knowing full-well you have the ability and evidence to support your efforts for litigation, it's best to let lawyers handle things at a certain point.

We ended up winning that last dispute without having to go to court. The lawyer basically spelled out how it was going to work out for them, they did the cost/benefit analysis, and capitulated to our evidence, allowing the teams to finish out the work.

We're at the "No contact with builders" stage at this point, while the lawyer negotiates a solution moving forward, with the hope of avoiding formal litigation.
