Playing and earn something will surely cost you a lot of time and don't expect big money here.
If you have some money you might want to invest on a good project which is still paying with a good reward until now. In axie you need to spend at least a $100 to have a good decent team but expect that the reward is not that big anymore. I stopped looking for P2E games since I loss money with some projects, for me if the reward token has a huge volume of supply, I can say that they will slowly go down as well just like what happened in SLP.

What happens is that it is almost impossible to keep a healthy ecosystem when every single person in those games is trying to earn money out of them, at some point people will simply give up as the costs of starting their journey in one of those coins go up while the profits go down, so they either give up completely or they look for another coin in which they can try to P2E as it is the most cost-effective decision at the time, then other people begin to do the same and this causes that particular coin to collapse.
