Yes, we need cryptocurrencies but not the shitcoins because currently we have thousands of live projects apart from Bitcoin while bery less numbers are unique and all others are just the resembled version of existing or previous projects just to make money due to the hype in the project with no reason to exist.

And it's part of the cycle. This meme / shit coins are opportunities for some players who know how to play with such

kinds of investment or, more likely, a gamble with a high risk. If you got lucky investing with meme/shit coins, the profits are unmeasurable
and it's true that it's very possible inside this market, though again, the altcoin market also has projects that design to support the industry
not just for investment but for mainstream usages in terms of payment process.

But with all those shit projects people are losing their hard earned real money to the rich hands which itself can become a danger for the cryptocurrency future if it exists in that way for too long. And also when we are going to see the cryptocurrency for the transaction not just an investment material which just keep it in the bear and bull cycle never reaches its actual potential.
