Bayern Munich obviously wants this player badly but there is no way that de Ligt is worth 80 million. I know that a lot of potential players are worth close to hundred million nowadays, and the amount of money that a club can get, a hundred million is not too much in this Era but I think it is quite a lot of money for a Defender. If the deal is finalized in 80 million total, I will not have any problems, to be honest. But I don't think that really is going to be finalized in 80 million. Bayern Munich will have to spend more than 80 million to get this player.
I agree with you the price is unreasonable Bayern Munich should be able to get another player for a lower price but with the same ability
But there's no need to rush Bayern Munich must wait for the right moment
The question is whether Bayern Munich will be willing to pay more than that? I myself believe they can afford it if they have to pay more than 80 million, but I also agree it's a fantastic figure for a defender like you said. But it's back to Bayern Munich if they believe in that value de Ligt can give a game worth what they spend, I don't think that's a problem either.
From one of the news portals that I got, Bayern Munich has made their latest offer for De Ligt. The amount is around 90 million with a combination of cash plus bonuses, I think instead of long and unfinished negotiations and the offer is very close to 100 million, then it seems it would be better for Bayern Munich to immediately follow the wishes of Juventus with 100 million. Unless Bayern Munich have no money and only bid in the range of 50-70 million, then naturally the negotiations will be very long. But even what happens that their offer is very close to the nominal price, then completing the transaction sooner would be better because after all, De Ligt himself really wanted to leave and had agreed to join Bayern Munich.
The reason Juventus didn't want to sell de Ligt was because they didn't have a capable defense at the time. However, if they sold this player they would have to buy at least two really good defenders with the money that they received. And I think that is what they wanted to do.
Bayern Munich did not have any trouble signing the player. They have enough money in the bank and they can obviously use it. I think they were worried about the same thing, and that was, is the player worth that much money? All their worries were put to rest when they purchased the player.
