Yes, even after the start of different T20 cricketing leagues no league is able to be popular as IPL. The game got started at the right time, and the plan of franchise making is really good. As said even if some event like World IPL happens, if isn't a surprise. Already IPL teams have turned themselves a brand and CSK one of the franchise have bought a team in South Africa league and the name too is supposed to be CSK Johannesburg.

Every team in IPL spends a lot of money. And the management of IPL is better than other franchise leagues. India being a huge populous country IPL is getting bigger day by day. While IPL's teams were limited to India until now, it is now spreading globally. This is really good. As a result cricket will expand. And the general audience will be more attracted to cricket.

Yes, if cricket could be managed by creating such franchise based clubs then cricket would have expanded more. But to establish it requires some strong team and more players. We need more talented cricket player from around the world, the more tournament can be managed. I believe franchise based teams will be established in the next few years which will be known as the greatest achievement of cricket so far.
