They do care about their money but when greed and lack of knowledge take over any human such a human will does more harm to herself than anyone could do.

I believe the reason why most newbies are victims of this is that they never ask themselves the right question and the impression of crypto being a pot of gold where they could easily pack theirs^{(because they never care about the technology and also want the easy way)}.
