Spence is not in a bad situation here because he had a fight recently compared to Crawford that will be inactive for a year this coming months.
Crawford also said that if this fight won't happen this year then he will go for Jermell Charlo in the super welterweight so that he will at least have one fight this year after all the waiting game of Spence.

Better to move forward if there's nothing to negotiate, if even he tries to call for this fight and is willing to adjust and still

nothing from Spence camp, he can go and find an alternative to keep his fighting composure intact. It's a best decision from him and his
camp to look for another fighter to challenge. It will be an additional recognition in case he is able to beat Charlo, bringing him another
belt to defend and add additional hype to his name and to his fighting value.
