Many of us interpret criticism as an attack on our own value, taking criticism personally when it is not.
It could be an attack at times because a guy once called me "stupid and foolish" for taking offence at why I disliked Bitcoin. It's disliked, not even dislike. I guess some are overbearing and attack/disrespect people at will which is not good.
This is huge community consisting of people from various backgrounds and have different view points that clashes sometimes.
Even at that, we should learn to respect each other. I believe that criticism should be constructive and be posted with wisdom where the point would be made rather than attacking someone senselessly. I was a victim of this many times but trust me, I fired back.
Learn to fact check and learn how to research on a certain topic that you can use for cross referencing to provide an accurate if not the best answer regardless of the nature of the topic. This means that you really know and have applied what you are talking about and not just some random gibberish content just to achieve certain quota. You are only entitled to give an opinion or advice as long as you can defend it morally and ethically.
And if there are members who corrected you in the middle of the discourse, then it would be best to absorb what they teach you like a sponge and never repeat the same advice you have given before.
Well said! But could you believe that some of the attackers and critics don't even know what they are saying? Could you believe that a guy was arguing with me that Ethereum is not the most actively developed blockchain because he's a hero member? How lame is that? At times, a superiority complex is the problem of some critics not the lack of knowledge of those they attack.
