Well hello OP and sorry to hear what has happened to your father. Because of what happened to your father i can also understand that you have a very negative opinion about altcoins. That being said, i totally disagree with you statement that all altcoins are bad and Bitcoin is the only viable crypto project out there. There are quite a few bitcoin maximalists in this forum that would agree with you though.
I think that there are altcoins out there like for example Ethereum or Cosmos that are really offering a lot of utility to it's users and also brought the whole crypto space to a whole different level. Just imagine we would not have Ethereum and it's smart contract functionality.

Bitcoin is still dominating the market and is the most worth holding coin on the market. But there's no denying one thing, it's altcoins like ethereum, bnb, cosmos, or polkadot... are altcoins that have brought diversity and explosive growth to the market over the years, altcoins are an integral part of this new industry.

I agree that there are many, many thousands of shitcoins on the market and cause a big stain but besides that we also have extremely potential and promising altcoins besides bitcoin.
