Let me ask you a question, what do you call an act when a person goes back to gambling to recover his losses? Then tell me what is the definition of a gambling addiction?
As you can see gambling addict does not need any reason to gamble. They have
gambling disorder which is the
uncontrollable urge to gamble. Gambling addicts are already broken so they do not need any reason for their gambling activity. And a gambling addict playing to recover losses is just an illusion because they will continue to gamble after recovering their losses until they lost it again.
And that what makes a person addicted because he do really keep on convincing himself that he could really able to recover losses.When you are addicted then the emotion or the urge on playing
is really there which you do get some point that they might not care on what would happen but one thing that they would be having in mind mainly which is to make money,money,money.
Just come to think that if a certain gambling addict doesnt really have hopes on winning money then that would simply lost up their interest on playing.
Its just common sense.
