There has been a lot of talk on social media that India has one first match and Pakistan has won the second match, so both teams are equal but people are forgetting the criticality of both matches.
India won the group stage match against Pakistan and even with the loss, Pakistan had to win a match against the weakest Hongkong team to qualify for the next round; which they did easily.
Pakistan won the match against India in the Super four stage and this win is far more important. Now India has to win the other two matches against much better teams like Afghanistan and Srilanka else they may not qualify for the finals.
So keeping this in context, Pakistan won a more important match in the tournament as compared to the indians.
Well Pakistan is totally unpredictable team. They can beat world best team anywhere or get beaten by world weakest team. This behaviour of Pakistan team is from the time they start playing cricket. It will be interesting to see how Pakistan will take on Afghanistan and Srilanka in coming matches.
One thing i think for sure that upcoming matches in super 4 will be full of entertainment and treat to watch. All of sudden, the weak team Srilanka also gained some form recently, which makes this super 4 round really interesting indeed. I will not make any predictions about who will win the tournament or who will reach the finals, rather I will try to look at the odds for match to match bases and make bets where seems appropriate.
Every match in the semi-finals looks set to be competitive. Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are relatively weak teams. But these two teams have shown outstanding performance in some matches. They have the ability to perform well against teams like India and Pakistan. On the other hand, India and Pakistan teams are also in very good form. So every semi-final match is going to be very competitive.
