Fareed celebrated the wicket just in front of Asif, which angered the latter. In the previous ball, Asif had hit him for a six. I thought thta there was nothing wrong with the celebration. But then Asif went overboard that threatened to hit Fareed with the bat.

The commentators were also blaming Asif, saying that he should not resort to physical threats:

Afghanistan players as well as the fans were very disappointed. Some of them were sobbing.

I also almost cried watching it myself like another fan of Afghanistan . Asif was happy when he hit a six but his demeanor changed after he got out. Changing behavior was not a problem. But taking unfortunately decision of bodily harm was very unfortunate. Anyway hope everyone learns a lesson from this and we don't have to see such scenes again in future

This is not the first time, but it's extremely disgraceful and unethical behavior from a player to hit him with a bat. An incident like this cannot be tolerated. An ex-Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, however, was disappointed with Afghanistan's behavior. It is so surprising that who is talking about behavior, has been suspended from the Pakistan team due to his behavior and addiction. It is therefore not advisable to take his statements seriously.
