Now this season had a somewhat different start with Liverpool just getting two out of nine points, but when the top teams don't have a bad day the results are usually in favor of the top teams. That's also proven by the fact that usually there are nu surprises when it comes to Europa League qualifications. The first six to seven teams are quite the same in most of the seasons.

It is good to have some outliers though, no doubt. Money does play a certain role there as that is handled quite differently in the premier league compared to other leagues.
